Wounds that are about to heal, if not taken care of, will tear again.

I’m speaking of the wounds on my heels.  I bought a pair of closed toe shoes months ago and well, as most new shoes do, the back of the shoes rubbed on my heels and hence, wounding them.

They healed but I wore those shoes again and they are once again raw.

Ouch.
