I always tell people that I hate to plan.  I hate to think of what’s going to happen because I know it’s not in my control and why bother planning when things might not turn up as planned most of the time?  Hence, my mottos are go with the flow, come what may, que sera sera

However, I was taught that failing to plan is planning to fail.  Mind boggling, ay?

Today I was just reading Matthew and I came across my favourite verse.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.  So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries.  Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Matthew 6: 33-34 (NLT)

Planning for tomorrow is time well spent; worrying about tomorrow is time wasted.  How very well said.

In Inner Champion, Ps Russell was stressing on the point that we need to live in position and not the conditions that are placed on us by the world.  It gave me a new insight, I am in position to plan.  I lay out my desires to God and He will guide me and bless me as long as my desires are His desires.  After all, He knows my future, if I’m in tune with Him, His desires will be my desires and His plans for us are good and full of hope.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

So, let’s just stop being kan-cheong spiders and rest on Him, well, for me at least.  Be in tune with Him and let His plans unravel before us.  Life’s a surprise but it’s all about trusting that He’s got the best in store for us.
